DLS Reviews — Documentation

Installation

  1. Install the module ZIP in System → Install → Extensions.
  2. Create a DLS Reviews site module in Content → Site Modules.
  3. Choose the source: manual, Google or both. Enter manual reviews with name, stars, text, date and link.
  4. Optional Google: enable “Places API (New)” in the Google Cloud Console, create an API key restricted to your server's IP, look up your Place ID with Google's Place ID Finder and enter both in the Google tab. Google returns at most 5 reviews.
  5. Choose highlight, carousel, grid or badge; configure colours, fonts, spacing and the badge.
  6. Assign a template position, language and menu pages, then publish.

Privacy

Without API key and Place ID the module makes no connection to Google. With Google, only your server contacts Google; visitors' browsers load nothing from Google (initials instead of profile photos). You are responsible for Google's terms and your privacy policy.

Updates

Open the protected purchase link from your purchase email. Copy its Joomla download key into System → Update Sites → DLS Reviews Updates → Download Key. Keep the key private. Check for updates in System → Update → Extensions.

Installation und Updates auf Deutsch

  1. Die ZIP unter System → Installieren → Erweiterungen installieren.
  2. Unter Inhalt → Website-Module ein Modul vom Typ DLS Reviews erstellen.
  3. Quelle wählen (Manuell, Google, Beides) und manuelle Bewertungen mit Name, Sternen, Text, Datum und Link eintragen.
  4. Optional Google: In der Google Cloud Console „Places API (New)“ aktivieren, einen auf die Server-IP beschränkten API-Schlüssel erstellen, die Place-ID mit dem Place ID Finder suchen und beides im Reiter Google eintragen. Google liefert höchstens 5 Bewertungen.
  5. Darstellung, Farben, Schriften, Abstand und Badge einstellen. Position, Sprache und Menüzuweisung wählen und veröffentlichen.
  6. Über den geschützten Link aus der Kauf-E-Mail den Download-Key kopieren und unter System → Update-Seiten → DLS Reviews Updates → Download-Key eintragen. Den Key geheim halten.

Datenschutz

Ohne API-Schlüssel und Place-ID stellt das Modul keine Verbindung zu Google her. Mit Google kontaktiert nur dein Server Google; Browser der Besucher laden nichts von Google (Initialen statt Profilfotos). Für Google-Nutzungsbedingungen und Datenschutzerklärung bist du selbst verantwortlich.
