Show customer reviews beautifully on your Joomla site. Entered manually or optionally from Google.
DLS Reviews shows reviews as a highlighted quote, carousel, grid or compact badge with the average. Without an API key the module makes no connection to Google; with Google, only your server fetches the data and visitors load nothing from Google.
What you can configure
- Enter manual reviews with name, stars, text, date and link; no Google connection is required.
- Lite displays a highlighted quote or grid, optionally with average and count above. Pro adds carousel and badge-only layouts.
- Filter by minimum stars, order and maximum count. Pro can also hide individual Google authors and set the displayed average and count.
- Pro adds Google reviews through the Places API (New), fetched by your server with caching and error logging. The API returns at most five reviews and requires your own key with billing enabled.
- Set base colours for accents, stars, cards and text. Pro adds more colours, corner radius, custom fonts and text shortening with Read more.
- Stars have a text alternative; the carousel supports keyboard navigation without autoplay and respects reduced motion.
- German and English backend; Pro Joomla updates use a download key.
Lite or Pro?
DLS Reviews comes as a free Lite edition and as Pro. Lite is fully functional, with no time limit and no ads. Pro features are visible but locked in Lite and marked “(Pro)”. When you later install Pro over Lite, all content and settings are kept.

Lite updates arrive through Joomla without a download key. Licence: GPL-2.0-or-later.
Installation
Install the ZIP under System → Install → Extensions. In Content → Site Modules, create a DLS Reviews module, choose the source, enter reviews or connect Google and pick a layout. Select a position, language and menu assignment, then publish.
Before you start
Targets Joomla 5.x and 6.x; checked on Joomla 5 (PHP 8.2) and Joomla 6 (PHP 8.3). Through the API, Google returns at most 5 reviews; this requires your own Google Cloud key with billing and compliance with Google terms. Without Google the module works fully with manual reviews.
